Alex Chan has extensive plaintiff and defense experience in patent, copyright, and trade secret litigation in U.S. federal courts, Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and the International Trade Commission, recently serving clients such as HTC, Lenovo, Arista Networks, and Polaris Innovations. His practice involves a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor devices and fabrication, video and wireless standards, computer hardware and software, data and network encryption, optical communications, and medical devices. Prior to joining Tensegrity Law Group in 2016, he was a former patent examiner at the United States Patent & Trademark Office and an associate at Fish & Richardson P.C.
In 2016, Mr. Chan was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, "IP Trailblazer in Intellectual Property" by the National Law Journal, and "40 under 40" by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Mr. Chan is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
